Teacher Aide

We are seeking a part time teacher aide (16 hours per week) during the 2017 school terms to support students in the school with learning needs.

The successful applicant will need to be a good communicator, have sound literacy and numeracy skills and enjoy working collaboratively with students and staff.

Experience in working with young people with learning challenges is essential. Initiative and ability to adapt to different situations and teaching styles will be an advantage.

Visual Arts and Art History

We are looking for a well qualified teacher who is able to teach Visual Arts and Art History, with Printmaking an advantage. This maternity leave position commences on 24th July 2017. The successful applicant will have a sound understanding of the latest curriculum and assessment developments in Visual Arts and Art History. He/she should be able to work well with others in a creative and cooperative manner and be willing to share responsibilities for resource development.

Epsom House Afternoon Supervisor and Sleepover

Epsom House is the Boarding House for Epsom Girls Grammar School and has 143 students aged from 13 – 18 resident seven days a week during School terms.

We are looking to recruit a Supervisor whose responsibilities will be to work closely with the House Managers and the Assistant Principal with responsibility for Epsom House, and to maintain a safe and supportive environment for students at Epsom House. To also contribute to the development of a learning environment in which the vision and values of the school and the goals of the school may be achieved within the specific context of Epsom House.

This job would suit a person who can form positive relationships with students and encourage them with their sports/cultural activities and their academic responsibilities. Someone who can create attractive after-school activities and programmes and to also supervise and monitor prep time.

The role will require the successful applicant to complete a paid sleepover at the House and be available for any situations when needed during the night.

It will be for term time only.

 We seek an enthusiastic teacher to join a committed and motivated team. Expertise and experience with chemistry up to NCEA Level 2 is required. We are a BYOD school. This is a fulltime, LTR Maternity Leave position from 24 July to 12 December, 2017.

Permanent, fulltime positon (1MU, 1MMA) starting 7th August, 2017. We are looking for an enthusiastic, innovative teacher with broad curriculum knowledge and a passion for teaching ESOL. We are particularly interested in a person who wants to challenge and cater for diverse learners, and who expects excellence in educational outcomes for young women. Previous experience teaching NCEA, ESL and EAP standards is essential.
