Each state school in New Zealand is given an operations grant by the government. This grant is intended to cover all the operational costs of the School, including those associated with teaching and learning. We are a Decile 9 school and receive less funding per capita than lower decile schools, because we are considered to be taking students from high socio-economic areas. Due to this, we depend on additional resourcing from parents to maintain and develop our quality educational service. 

The School is grateful for the essential additional funds received from:

• The Annual Parent Donation – for 2023 this donation is set at $920 per student. This covers costs associated with providing teachers to support the special nature of an Epsom Girls Grammar School education.
• Additional donations sought each year from parents and families for special school projects.
• The work of the EGGS Foundation and Foundation Office which co-ordinate a variety of fundraising activities, events, sponsorships, applications for grants and community relationships.
